Oliver James are pleased to be working with a reputable Life insurer in their search for a new Actuarial Trainee in Surrey. Actuarial Trainees are expected to move between functions to develop competence in the different Actuarial activities carried out across the business.

As part of a rotation programme you will move across Income Protection, Critical Illness cover and Life Insurance departments. You will assist in Actuarial activities as required, whilst pursuing opportunities to liaise with the wider business.

Role requirements:

  • Part-qualified pensions actuary making solid exam progress
  • Bachelor's degree with a strong mathematical/statistical element (Minimum 2:1)
  • Experience of working within a reputable pensions consultancy

This is a unique opportunity to join a reputable insurer early on within your pensions career. This role is unique as it facilitates a direct move into Life Insurance that is incredibly desired by Pension Actuaries, but difficult to do after qualifying. This role will remunerate competitively, paying between £53-55k+ bonus.
