Working across both Insurance and Reinsurance, the successful candidate will have both Reserving and Capital Modelling responsibilities, with the opportunity to specialise later down the line.

Reserving:

  • Supporting the quarterly reserve review process, ensuring the data used is complete, accurate and appropriate and appropriate MI is up-to-date
  • Performing quarterly reserving reviews and presenting results of review to actuarial management
  • Supporting reserving team in meeting management and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Performing the regular calculation of Solvency II Technical Provisions in line with relevant guidance and external reporting requirements
  • Contributing to the development of the reserving process and related databases, applications and systems
  • Working with external parties (auditors, consultants, Lloyd's) as required to support the Syndicate's external audit and validation processes

Capital:

  • Co-ordination of the data and parameterisation of the Internal Model
  • Assisting in the development of the Internal Model and associated processes
  • Running the Internal Model to produce output to support the business
  • Assist with the calculation and reporting of capital requirements in line with the Lloyd's process
  • Assist with the validation of the Internal Model
  • Documentation of the Internal Model and associated processes
