Actuarial Analyst

As an Actuarial Analyst you will promote a culture of service excellence, with a view to achieving and maintaining market leading, award winning status within the protection market. You'll proactively work to manage existing protection and unit linked products, as well as supporting development of our protection products and leading the re-pricing of existing products across the group.

About the role

As an Actuarial Analyst you will support the delivery of the protection product business plan. 

Your role will include assisting in the management of quotation systems, performing regular rate reviews, analysis of data to make pricing assumptions and monitoring profitability.

You'll also work closely with the sales and proposition marketing team to identify areas in the market that present opportunities for us. And will be tasked with improving and refining pricing processes and ensuring compliance with all regulations.

You'll be involved in testing products, ensuring this is carried out to a high standard covering pricing, illustrations and customer information, and will also look after any technical queries as well as supporting the servicing team in the production of manual quotations.

About you

You'll need to be a part qualified actuary, eager to progress through your actuarial exams. A good understanding of our market and industry, with exposure to the regulatory bodies and associated principles is also essential.

Experience of working with unit linked products is essential, with experience of Product Xpress (PX) package desirable. You'll also need strong excel and cash flow modelling experience with the ability to pick up and manage projects through to completion with minimal guidance. 

You'll have excellent communication, numeracy and literacy skills and will be highly analytical with a desire to be involved in quantifications while retaining a commercial focus. As a strong team player you will be results driven with high levels of initiative and innovation.
