Price Optimisation, Senior Analyst
Your new role
As a Senior Pricing Analyst you will be responsible for reviewing their motor portfolio, through analysis of the profile, mix trends and performance including by rating factors, new business acquisition, cancellation and renewal retention. In addition, you will innovate new and improved pricing and management information to support account management
In the role you will play an active role in making pricing changes / recommendations; Evaluate new scheme, affinity and products; Manage the use of their price positioning and competitor; Decide new and enhanced management information to support pricing decisions; Support the Underwriting teams by recommending new, enhanced or alterations to the underwriting rules and product covers; and undertake EMBLEM analyses, such as testing the effectiveness of new rating factors or producing demand curves for renewal and new business modelling.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will have a sound understanding of pricing and underwriting principles and experience of a wide range of technical issues. Although not essential, you will ideally have a good working knowledge of the personal lines market.
The role would suit someone at least 1 years' experience in a pricing related role.
In-depth experience of Excel is required, and ideally you will have working knowledge of Emblem, SAS and RADAR.
Academically you will have obtained a minimum of a 2:1 in a maths related degree, along with a minimum of a 'B' in A-level maths.
