Manual Calculations Support
Our client, a leading reinsurer, is seeking a part-qualified life actuary to act as a technical authority to the team on ensuring best practice analysis techniques are used and shared whilst supporting the team on how to meet expected delivery dates.
You will develop processes and practices within the team to enhance its capability and governance framework whilst providing sign-offs and approvals in line with team competency framework.
You will also escalate risks and issues to line management in a timely manner and assist with implementation of solutions, holding regular risk workshops for the team, considering and implementing mitigating actions as required.
In addition, you will monitor and review process adherence, advising the Team Leader on any personal development issues identified and actively promoting and supporting knowledge management within the team.
With the ability to motivate and coach team members, the successful candidate will possess knowledge of analysis methodology and practices alongside strong knowledge of life and pensions.
Knowledge of ALPHA tables and parameterisation, trigger processing and ALPHA workplans also essential.
