Contract Type

I'm working on 3 highly coveted opportunities for part qualified pensions actuaries to move into the insurance market in the City.

Senior Actuarial Analyst (Life Insurance)

This individual will join the Strategic Pricing team of a large insurer in Greater London area. The successful incumbent will contribute to the review of pricing assumptions and will include work on longevity and economic assumptions. This would suit a part qualified student with a solid understanding of DB pension schemes and knowledge of the de-risking market.

Origination Analyst (Life Insurance)

A specialist insurer is seeking to appoint a part qualified pensions actuary to play an integral role in managing pricing, transactions and quotations, acting as a #2 on supporting deals. You will look at the production of pricing capital/return model calculations and research new opportunities in the market. You will have at least 2 years' experience in pensions consultancy with demonstrable knowledge of UK DB schemes.

Actuarial Analyst (Non-Life Insurance)

A highly regarded Lloyd's business is seeking to appoint an Actuarial Analyst to its newly created syndicate in London. This role will be a mixture of reserving, capital and pricing, making it an excellent opportunity in itself, not to mention the opportunity to transition into insurance. You will have 2 years' actuarial experience and superb academics, including a degree in a numerate subject and AAA or above at A level.

If these opportunities peak your interest and you would like to hear more, please do contact me for further information and I shall be happy to give detail on these high-profile positions plus an oversight of the market.
